Laxar Fish-Farming produces salmon from spawn to slaughtering. The company operates two spawn farming stations at Bakki and Fiskalón in the Ölfus region in South Iceland in addition to a land based aquaculture station in Thorlákshöfn on the south coast. Laxar also operates marine fish farming in Reydarfjördur, East Iceland, where the company has a permit to produce up to 6,000 tpy of salmon in marine pens in three places. We intend to increase our production in the East Fjords to 25,000 tpy as time goes by. The basic presumption underlying Laxar Fish-Farming is to establish a knowledge-based fish-farming company which has sufficient financial resources to meet challenges.
